AHS sophomore Olivia Vogel is a top 30 finalist in the Lucerne "The Art of Dairy" contest, and with that honor, comes a life-sized cow, made of fiberglass and plaster, on which Vogel will paint her final entry for the contest.

For the last five years, AHS students have entered this contest, but Vogel became the first student make the top 30 cut.  If she wins, she will be awarded $5,000 for herself, $5,000 for AHS Art Instructor Jill Harris, and $20,000 for the AHS school art department.  First place prize is $2,500 for her, $2,500 for Harris and $5,000 for the art department.  Honorable mention awards $1,000 each for Vogel and Harris.

Winners for the contest will be announced around May 20.  Pictures will be added as they become available.
